About Honeycakes

Honeycakes is the only one of it’s kind in New York City—the first specialty Honeycake bakery. The Brooklyn-based cakery founded in 2021 by Monique, is known for its not-too-sweet, seasonal flavours and delicate honey biscuit layers. Infused with her love for florals and quality ingredients, Monique transforms each cake into an ephemeral work of art.

Born from nostalgia, the cakery began as Honeycakes during the pandemic when Monique longed for her favourite dessert that was no where to be found in the city. A personal craving soon became a shared experience, inspiring her to bring these edible cake gardens to New York.

In 2024, Monique left her tech career to embrace creativity, family, and a life centered on what matters most. Rooted in the art of celebration and savouring the little joys in life— it now flourishes through pop ups, weddings, curated gatherings, and cake styling experiences, each creation a tribute to life’s most precious moments.
